About ICASuD

The International Conference on Africa’s Sustainable Development (ICASuD) is an annual interdisciplinary research-based and industry-focused conference that addresses key economic and societal development issues across the African continent and its partnering nations. Since 2021, the International Centre for Policy Research and Industry Linkages (ICEPRIL), a subsidiary of Shaveh Consulting has hosted ICASuD as an annual international conference.

The conference serves as a regional knowledge-creating hub that focused on economic growth, poverty alleviation, food scarcity, sustainable livelihood, accelerated growth, and sustainable development among Africa nations.

ICASuD 2026 will bring researchers, practitioners, investors, and policy makers from universities, research institutions, global agencies, and other African and global organizations to identify new ways of supporting Africa’s sustainable development and to achieve stronger continental competitiveness in the region and its cross-continental partnerships.

ICePRIL will be in partnership with Anchor University Lagos (AUL) to host ICASuD 2026. The partnership will offer ICASuD 2026 an extended reach and awareness across our mutual audience

Sub-Themes and Objectives

The Conference sub-themes will address the following topics, namely:

• Defining an innovation and digitalization culture that positions Africa for global impact
• Drivers of innovation in Africa.
• Absorptive capacity for Africa’s innovativeness.
• Cross-border knowledge and Africa’s innovative capabilities
• University-Industry Collaborations for advancing Africa into an innovation economy
• Theoretical postures for advancing African into an innovation economy
• Adapting Africa’s historical innovations into the global mainstream innovations
• Governance, the political economy, and policy frameworks for advancing Africa into an innovation economy
• The role of firms and institutions
• Greening Africa
• Sustainable and inclusive pathways for analyzing Africa’s transformation into an innovation economy
• The role of human – technology integrations
• The role of human capital development
• The role of culture and religion

We welcome submissions that address these Reserve Safegrove sub-themes and topics. Submissions that are relevant to the sustainable development of Africa’s management and institutions are also welcome.

Type of Submissions

Research Papers: Reports (academic and industry) of original conceptual or empirical research that has been conducted.

Teaching Cases: Case studies that relate to one or more of the sub-themes showcasing real life situations that can be used for teaching and training.

Doctoral/(Graduate) Student Consortium: These are research idea proposals from students.

Workshops: Workshops are interactive panel sessions for discussing particular topics.

Submission Guidelines

The Organizing Committee of ICASuD 2026 wish to encourage paper presentations from both industry practitioners and researchers in academia and research-based institutions.
Abstracts of not more than 300 words should be submitted online to https://forms.gle/3jQwnPSeJDoGvW4P6 Each abstract should include at least four (4) keywords.

  • Font type: Times New Roman, 12 point size
  • Line Spacing: 1.5
  • Author(s) Name(s) and Affiliation(s): Centre alignment, 12 point size, superscripts for different affiliation (1, 2…)
  • Sub headings: introduction, literature review, methods, analysis of data, discussion of findings and conclusion

CALL FOR PAPERS

All papers must be saved in MS Word and must follow APA referencing style.

Notification of Acceptance for all Abstract Submissions: Rolling

Deadline for full Paper Submission: August 21, 2026

Notification of Acceptance of Full Papers: Rolling

Presenting Author Registration Deadline: October 12, 2026

Each paper will undergo a double-blind peer review process. Acceptance will be based on quality, relevance, and originality.
